Delete your account

This page explains how to delete your GYMNAST account (package com.debajyoti.gymca) and everything stored with it. You can do it yourself inside the app, or ask us to do it for you.

Option 1 — delete it yourself, in the app

  1. Open GYMNAST and sign in.
  2. Members / customers: open the Profile tab and tap Delete my account.
Gym staff: open Settings and tap Delete Account.
  3. Type DELETE to confirm.
  4. Your account and personal data are erased immediately and you are signed out. This cannot be undone.

Option 2 — ask us to delete it

Email debajyotiparker@gmail.com from the address you registered with, with the subject “GYMNAST account deletion request”. We verify that the request comes from the registered address and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner. We will confirm by email when it is done.

What is deleted

Erased permanently, with no backup copy kept:

What your gym keeps, and why

If you were a member of a gym, that gym keeps its own record of your membership, check-in history and payments. Those are the gym's business and financial records of real transactions, which it needs to run its business and is often legally required to retain — they are not part of your personal account, and the gym remains the data controller for them.

Deleting your account severs the link between you and that record, so gym staff and trainers immediately lose access to anything personal of yours — your workout logs, measurements and progress. To have the gym's own records removed as well, contact the gym directly.

If you own a gym

A gym owner's account cannot be deleted from inside the app. Doing so would immediately lock out every staff member and customer of a gym that still exists. Email us at debajyotiparker@gmail.com from your registered address and we will close the gym and delete your account together, after confirming with you.

Retention

There is no grace period and no soft delete: when you confirm deletion in the app, the data listed above is destroyed at once and cannot be restored. For emailed requests, deletion happens within 30 days of us verifying the request. Backups held by our infrastructure provider (Google Firebase) roll off on their own schedule and are never used to restore a deleted account.
